“First of all, let me point out that my wife and I stayed here on points. There is no way possible we could afford to stay here based on the going rate for this excellent 5 Star Hotel. But wow…. How I would dream to stay here over and over again if price were no object! This place is fancy on steroids but never crosses the threshold of pretentious which is outstanding! Customer service is paramount. Everyone from belle hop, concierge, butler, room service, is incredibly friendly and helpful. The ambience of gold and traditional fabrics adorns every nook and cranny of the hotel with extreme elegance. There are TVs in the bathroom mirror. Room service visits multiple times a day and leaves the radio on for you. Literally the whole nine! One of my favorite parts about our two night stay was the morning coffee by the elevators! It comes with its own branded sleeve and the cream and coffee quality is out of this world! Was definitely a nice touch to start our day with this liquid gold. My only criticisms is I could do with less mirrors in the rooms and the honor bar prices for drinks (a Pepsi soda costs $9 for example) are excessive and prohibitive but what can you truly expect from a hotel where rooms go for around $1K a night. Otherwise…. Wow, highly recommend St. Regis to anyone and everyone who can swing it!”

“This is the ORIGINAL St Regis, and despite the building being an antique, the rooms were lovely and everything worked very well. The TV / size and the fact that they don't use the in ceiling speakers anymore was a bit disappointing, but I don't go to NYC to watch TV. The staff were fantastic, Pavel our butler was spot-on, we really enjoyed our week in the city and I'd recommend to anyone. Location is excellent for walking to galleries, MOMA, central park etc. Biking is my favourite way to get around Manhattan. Obviously the room service prices are silly - but what do you expect at the St Regis in NYC?”
