“October 2022 Our stay was horrible and the room was dirty. We Liked · We usually enjoy staying in an Embassy Suites. We liked that we received a corner suite like we asked. The breakfast was good. We enjoyed that there was not a lot of noise. We liked where the hotel was located. Mr. J the late night guy, tried to be helpful in a horrible situation. We Disliked · We had a premium room and our snacks came in a bag. The boxed tissue was blue. There was dirt on the door of the bathroom. There was food left from a previous stay on/near the microwave. The floor was dirty under the microwave. The upholstery was so dirty that you could see the dirt in the dark. There were spots on the bedding as well. The thing that we did not like at all was that our toilet overflowed to the point that it was all over the floor. It started as a slow flush, which we didn't like but we could deal with; however, when it backed up and would not flush and then was all over the floor at 2:15 AM and I had to go to the bathroom and had to go downstairs to the lobby to do so. I was not thinking that the toilet was going to overflow so I was not dressed properly to be in any public area. I was embarrassed and felt very uncomfortable. I made sure that I let Mr. J know that this was not his fault but it was what it was. Mr. J the front desk person offered me a different room at this point but I have a child and moving him at 2:15 AM would have meant waking him up and moving all of our things and moving a six year old at that time would have been even more of a nightmare for us. Mr. J did come up to plunger the toilet but it only worked for a few slow flushes then things backed back up again. I will say that the maintenance men came that morning by about 9:30 AM but they were unannounced. Also no one offered any cleaning for the flooded toilet or the floor, something they/I could use to clean up the dirty area. This would have been nice considering we were talking about the toilet and waste particles everywhere after the overflow. The dirty towels that were used were kicked under the vanity instead of being picked up. Mr. J was kind enough to give us fresh towels when he came up to plunger, though. Even though the check out person said that she understood our plight and charged us for half the stay, I really feel that we should have received a free stay but I was too tired to address that.”

“Let me start by saying I gave this hotel two stars because the staff was amazing and super accommodating on a busy weekend. The complimentary breakfast was also good and fully stocked. I've stayed at several Embassy Suites in other areas, so I was a bit disappointed to find our room at Columbia Greystone to be outdated, and not 100% clean. There was trash in the trash can from a previous occupant and the floor by the kitchenette did not appear to have been cleaned. I also came home with several unknown bites and I'm hoping that they aren't from bed bugs. Time will tell. For almost $400 a night, I was really disappointed overall with our room condition.”
